An Arabian Night To Remember

Generous guests enjoyed a taste of Arabia and helped to raise more than £18,000 for charity at the first Andrew Kelly Foundation Dinner on 18th April 2008.

More than 180 people gathered at the Spotland Stadium’s Radcliffe Suite for the black tie event, which proved to be an enormous success, mainly due to the kind generosity of the guests. A number of guests entered into the spirit of the evening, wearing fancy dress and tucked into a delicious Arabian Themed four course meal.

The fundraising efforts were boosted with a prize draw and charity auction. Popular lots included a signed Manchester United Shirt, a personal helicopter flight to the Belfry, signed CD collection from Lisa Stansfield, an Arabian dream holiday to Sharm El Sheikh and a day out at Royal Berkdale.

Entertainment was provided by Dudley Doolittle, Wizardry, The Kasbah Dance Company and the Lomax Brothers. All proceeds from the Auction will be donated to the Foundation and will benefit mainly local charities with an emphasis on children and young people.
