Learning About Estate Agency

The children of Class 1 (approx age 6), All Souls Primary, Heywood have been learning about Estate Agency and their teacher, Anna Finbow contacted Andrew Kelly & Associates to see if they could help. Shaun Edmondson, Andrew Kelly’s Marketing Director, attended the school and helped with a class. The children played an Estate Agency game to help them to understand the complexities of buying / selling houses. They practiced selecting properties against a set of pre-determined buying criteria (and some of the children also pretended to be a Bank Manager and Surveyor). The class were then asked to design their own version of property particulars for their dream house.

We would like you to pick the winning entry from the designs below. The winners will be presented with a trophy and the winning design will be entered into our next Andrew Kelly Auction (on 9th June at Rochdale Football Club) and will be auctioned off for charity. The competition winners will be asked to come along and act as “trainee auctioneers to help sell their lot.” We would like votes to be cast by email to auctions@andrew-kelly.co.uk quoting “schools competition” and the “property title.” Closing date for votes will be midnight on the 3rd May 2010 – only one vote per email address allowed. The winning entry will also be posted on this page. Members of the public would be welcome at the event itself to watch (or participate) in the Auction. (A theoretical starting price will be asked for the property and every bid costs £1. There can be unlimited bids and the money raised will go charity).

Last years winner was auctioned in a similar manner and raised £105.00 for the Andrew Kelly Foundation - a charity that was founded in 2007 and whose aim is to provide much needed financial support to local deserving causes (with an emphasis on children and young people).

Andrew Kelly Auctions was founded in August 2008, having it’s first event in November 2008 and being a natural addition to Andrew Kelly’s residential estate agency business around the Rochdale , Heywood and Rossendale areas.
